Why 2A?

The Vollblut charger's 2A rate is intentionally gentle on the 48V pack Ñ Panasonic specified a slower rate to maximise long-term cycle life on this higher-voltage chemistry. A full charge from empty takes longer than lower-voltage systems, but the trade-off is noticeably better battery longevity.
